Check it out! I'm actually writing on my blog for the first time in forever. Ka-ching! And I think the most appropriate thing to talk about right now is my undying love for my friend, Allee.
We've only known each other for about three years now, but when we both left for different colleges it was the feeling that I was leaving behind the most important influence in my life. What was going to happen to me? Would I change and become a completely different person? Were we both going to change? What if what the new versions of us couldn't stand each other?
Stupid.
Of course we're changing. That's just life, it's nothing new. However, that doesn't mean we're going to change in completely different ways or directions. We're just changing at different times in our own wonderful ways. As long as we both keep as close as we can to the Savior, there's no reason for us to not continue to be there for each other.
Thanks Allee for teaching me to be better than I am. CAAAARRRRLLLL!

The Wall
A girl stared at a blank, white wall for hours. She didn't notice how mundane and bland it was and soon the hours turned to days. Friends and family would enter the room with the aim to snap her out of it. But they would either sigh in frustration and forsake her or look at the absent face and, longing for release from the complications of life, sit by her side and stare at the wall. More experienced people started to come and used different techniques. One placed a variety of pictures in front of her to try to grab her attention. Another painted the wall different colors in elaborate designs in hopes that her eyes would awaken to the beauty. However, nothing could distract her mind from the anomaly that was the white wall.
One morning, a man walked into the room. No one had seen him before and there was something distinctly different. Despite the many other people that were there, he had no other focus except for the girl. He went over to her and touched her on the shoulder. Immediately there was a change in her face and, looking startled, she turned her eyes from the wall to the smiling eyes of the Savior.

2009/2010 school year at T-ville!
I was already excited to go back to school ever since school got out. But summer seminary has further increased my desire to return as a senior. I clearly remember my first time coming to Taylorsville High as a sophomore two years ago. I walked through the doors with my friends, Amanda and Mikel, and all three of us were anticipating what would happen to us. I never imagined that it could be as amazing as it has been. There were plenty of downfalls, but the ups that came in the form of accomplishments and friends totally had them outnumbered. And seminary was a big part of that. The closeness that develops between classes composed of an array of students who have nothing else in common besides the gospel is amazing. I'm so excited to start this year and I hope it will live up to my expectations.

I love Christmas!
I love Christmastime because people are so nice! I've had countless people come caroling at my house and give us presents. It makes me feel really happy when people are so caring and considerate. Another favorite of mine is going to see the lights at Temple Square; so pretty! The worst part is when all of it is over on the dreaded day of December 26. Ew. Unless it's your birthday or wedding anniversary, there is no reason to look forward to that awful day. Merry Christmas everyone!

Counseling Center of Hades
I was called into the Counseling Center at my school during a math test. My teacher told me to wait until I was finished, so I continued to drag myself through it. I took the little pink paper and went to the center, but they told me to just wait in my counselors office; she had a meeting. So I sat in there and looked around at some of her photos. It got pretty boring after the first two minutes, so I picked up a Rubik's cube she had on her desk and started playing with it, despite the fact that I can't solve those things even when I've had it explained to me countless times. It was slow work turning the rows because it was very stiff, like it had arthritis or something. After a few minutes of working on that, I suddenly felt an impending draft of doom. This is the feeling that often comes to me when I go in the counseling center, and I should have known better than to stay in there more than ten minutes. I quickly devised an excuse, the bell was going to ring and I had to get my stuff from my class, so I stealthily left. Even now I can still feel the overwhelming despair...creepy!
